Although i was born in Takoradi, Ghana in 1963, I grew up between Cape Coast, Kumasi, and Accra.
My upbringing was shaped by two remarkable individuals, aside of my parents: my grandmother, Rose-Comfort Appiah, and my grand uncle, the theologian and 4th president of the Methodist Church of Ghana, the late Rev. Charles Awotwi-Pratt.
Rev. Awotwi-Pratt instilled in me the values of the beatitudes: compassion and integrity. While my grandmother taught me entrepreneurial leadership through her bakery business.
These foundational values have guided me throughout my career. With over three decades of experience in executive roles across public and private sectors, I've focused on public policy, operational roles in communications, and leadership in TV distribution, including digital, analogue, and OTT/IPTV.
Currently, I provide C-level advisory services in Europe and Africa. I have a passion for supporting daring and bold indivduals who want to contribute to building a brighter tommorrow, through radically unique and innovative ideas.
This explains my involvement as a co-founder in the nordic private equity firm: Sabuni & Partners.
My career journey includes diverse roles, from producing TV programs like "Sweden Today" to serving as Chief Political Advisor to the Mayor, and Deputy Mayor of Stockholm and as a Member of Parliament.
I've founded and chaired various communications companies and have been actively involved in civil and non-profit activities, such as serving as a Civil Marriages Officiant and board member of international organizations.
Though I've lived in Sweden for over forty years, Ghana remains close to my heart.
I'm married to the author Jeanette Kilinda Frans, and have four daughters, and a grandson.
Besides my professional pursuits, I enjoy golf, music and cooking.
That's me in a nutshell. —let's connect and chat!
